moodlists is a place for sharing and discovering music.
Every week or so, a new mood will be announced (follow our Twitter page for updates). Anyone can submit a playlist to any mood.
Some thoughts on making playlists:
- Music discovery has never been easier, but sifting through Spotify playlists and recommendations can be tiring and monotonous. Listening to other people's curated playlists is a fun way to discover music.
- A good playlist flows well. The order of songs matters.
- The length of a good playlist may vary widely, but it shouldn't become a dumping ground for a bunch of slightly similar songs.
- There are many ways to categorize playlists. You can make chronologically-themed playlists (e.g. "what I listened to in March"), genre-based playlists (e.g. "lofi hip-hop songs"), mood-based playlists (e.g. "sad songs"), etc. The site is called moodlists, but we'll be pretty free-flowing with the moods we come up with.
